RACE RESULTS: WOODBURN, OR MAY 20 2006
Woodburn Dragstrips Season Opener weekend brings
out the fans (about 7500 through the gate for the weekend). Race #2 of the Northwest
Dragbike Race Series was the feature event on the Saturday portion of the program.
Four series classes were contested (Pro Street, Pro Mod, Pro ET and Street ET,
as well as an exhibition Outlaw Street class). A threatening forecast all week
kept some out of town racers away, but no precipitation fell, and racers were
treated to a perfectly prepped track, temps in the 70’s, and partly sunny
skies.
NWDB’s 2006 Championship Race Series consists of six events held at the
region’s premier dragstrips - Woodburn Dragstrip, Portland International
Raceway, and Bremerton Raceway. Five classes are held at each event - Pro Mod,
Pro Street, Outlaw Street, Street ET and Pro ET. NWDB is the region’s
only drag bike series featuring heads-up racing.
2006 Race #3 will be held at Bremerton Raceway June 17.
