RACE RESULTS: BREMERTON , WA August 19, 2006
Race #5 of the Northwest Dragbike Series again
showcased the quickest motorcycle dragracers in the NW, under sunny skies and
temps around 90F.
NWDB’s 2006 Championship Race Series consists of six events held at the
region’s premier dragstrips - Woodburn Dragstrip, Portland International
Raceway, and Bremerton Raceway. Five classes are held at each event - Pro Mod,
Pro Street, Outlaw Street, Street ET and Pro ET. NWDB is the region’s
only drag bike series featuring heads-up racing.
Race #6 (Last Event of 2006) will be held at Woodburn Dragstrip September
16.

Joe England of The Dalles OR continued his domination of
the Pro Street class with his 1397 Nitrous Busa (with a Brock Sidewinder). Scott
McLeod of Seattle also displayed some big power with a blistering 174.31mph
trap speed on his turbo Busa (which narrowly missed being backed up as a MPH
record).

NORTHWEST DRAGBIKE OUTLAW STREET
Daniel London of Boring OR took the Outlaw class for the
2nd straight race aboard his old-school nitrous Gixxer (named the Patriot).
London ran a blistering 8.53 in qualifying, and eventually beat points leader
Rob Neidigh of Kuna ID on his turbo Busa in the final.
