Slowe and Navarro Call out Jason
& Team NLR
Apparently some people were not that impressed with Mike Slowe’s 7.37/201
qualifying effort on Anthony Navarro’s Pro Sport Bike at the Pro Street
Bike Shootout at the NHRA Sport Compact Fall Nationals at Englishtown.
Slowe qualified the bike third in the field even though he is on a 64 inch bike
stretched out to 66 inches, running against 68 inch bikes. Just after Slowe’s
qualifying effort the internet was all abuzz with congratulations and a little
posturing by the MAryland camp. Sure, Slowe was good but what could Jason do
at 66 inches? He would REALLY fly.

Now is his chance to find out. Mike Slowe and
Anthony Navarro are officially calling out Jason to a 66 inch grudge race. Best
of five, at Englishtown with Ten Big Ones on the line.
“You think they would have learned the first time after beating him on
national TV on Pinks at Jason’s home track,” said Slowe. “I
guess not.”
Englishtown Raceway Park track manager Eddie Krawiec will provide the neutral
location. “They can have it here at Englishtown any day,” said Krawiec.
“We will give them track time. If they want to run during the
Shakedown at Englishtown on October 15th, the track will give the winner an
extra $1,000.”
