Tommy Bolton and Glen Nickelberry on Speed Channel TONIGHT!
The Oklahoma City Funnybike duo of builder/tuner Tommy Bolton and rider Glen
Nickelberry are the focus of Speed Records, part of the Speed Channel's Launch
Hour. The show airs tonight, Thursday, August 23, at 9:00pm Eastern
time and repeats at 1:00am.
Shot at Bolton's TomBo Racing and Performance Toys shop in Oklahoma City and
at Thunder Valley Raceway in Noble, the show tracks the pair as they attempt
to break their own track record. "It was at the PMRA race back in June,"
said Bolton. "It was real hot, 104 degrees, and track conditions weren't
ideal. We were trying to break our 6.77 track record, but we had to tune it
just to win the race." Which they did, beating Troy Brown in the final
with a 6.86 at 202.20mph. No record, but a good show given the conditions.
"It was fun," said Bolton, who's been getting a lot of press lately.
"One of my bikes was on the cover of Ride Oklahoma, and we're having a
photo shoot today for 2 Wheel Tuner. After months of health and personal turmoil,
I'm feeling better and things are going great. I'm back!"
Tommy Bolton and Glen Nickelberry plan to race next at Black Sunday at Gateway
International Raceway in Madison, Illinois September 15-17.
"I'd like to personally thank these guys for being supportive of
me during a tough year: Glen Nickelberry, Wattie Wolfe Engineering, Pingel
Innovative Nitrous Solutions, Vance
& Hines, Robinson
CP Pistons, Web
Cam, RC Components,
Coatings, Rev Valves,
Pearson Crankshafts, James Daugherty at Gatormaker and Family Affair Restaurant,"
