As you know, at the end of the 2011 season, Greg Darm and Dan McCarten announced they would no longer be heading up the 2WheelSpeed racing series. As of June 3, 2012, Jake Simmons has taken over the daily operations of the racing program. Greg Darm has agreed to stay on as an advisor. Jake has been an avid supporter of the 2WheelSpeed series for many years and is excited to bring many new ideas to the program.

While getting a late start in taking over the 2012 season, with one event weekend down and three to go, Jake has already acquired several sponsors. Jake is currently working on reestablishing the 2WheelSpeed website and t-shirt designs.

The 2WheelSpeed racing series will continue at Byron Dragway in Byron, IL. The entry classes offered will also remain the same. ET Classes: Street ET, Drag ET Box, Drag ET No Box ~ Index Classes: 10.50, 9.50, 8.90, ProStreet.

Greg and Dan wish to thank all the sponsors, racers and fans that have attended the events and supported the series for many years. Without the die-hard love of motorcycles, this program wouldn’t exist.
