Pro Stock Race Team Ready For Rockingham
The HeadBlade Pro Stock is off to a great start in the AHDRA Championship Series. The race team was at Orlando Speedworld for the Bike Week Nationals on March 5th and 6th. Shaun Reno placed first on qualifying day with a 1/4 mile pass of 8.19 E.T. at 163.93 MPH. The team, consisting of Shaun Reno (builder and rider), Ricky Stewart (crew chief) and Kim Reno (manager), continued to dominate the Pro Stock field on elimination day. Reno went to the finals against Marinelli to win the event, putting down an 8.15 E.T.
The Pro Stock team stayed busy in March with local events. Cruiser’s Sports Bar & Grill in Gloucester, VA held a fundraiser for the Gift for Life Foundation. The race rig and motorcycle were displayed at the biker swap meet and car show. The HeadBlade race team also attended the Iron Core Powdercoating open house held in Newport News, VA and the Virginia Motorsports Bike Fest on April 3rd. There was a great turnout of racers and spectators at the drag strip. They ran exhibition runs for the crowd in preparation for the race in Rockingham, NC on April 30th - May 1st. The Pro Stock consistently put down great times, as low as 8.05 during the event. They used these runs to test a new setup for the upcoming AHDRA National. Reno and Stewart are optimistic that a record setting run is just around the corner for the HeadBlade Race Team.
