Early exit for LE Tonglet at Norwalk

After his first two visits to the Summit Racing Equipment Nationals in Norwalk, Ohio, it’s not likely LE Tonglet will call it his favorite track.

It began last year when he failed to qualify for the Summit Racing Equipment Nationals. This time he rectified that, but wound up losing Sunday in the first round of Pro Stock Motorcycle eliminations.

The 2010 Full Throttle Series champion qualified the Nitro Fish/Tonglet Racing Suzuki GSXR in seventh place but he lost to Scotty Pollacheck after an uncharacteristically slow reaction time of .108-second. Pollacheck’s quarter-mile time was 7.037 seconds at 188.07 mph and Tonglet slowed to a 9.195 at 95.23 mph.

He is fifth in Full Throttle series points with 326.
