The Pacific Northwest and Pacific Raceways is warming up with July playing host to 9 races between the NHRA Summit ET Series and the Pacific Raceways Dragbike Club, the racing action was intense! Before the year began, every racer looked ahead to the July schedule and knew that it would play a pivotal role in how their season would ultimately shake out. With a combination of hot weather and several races (often back-to-back), testing both man and machine, I had confidence racing my Brock’s Performance Hayabusa. Where on occasion in the past, I would be making changes on a race-to-race occurrence (or even throughout the course of the race itself), the quality and consistency provided by Brock’s Performance parts resulted in relatively zero changes being made to the bike, all the while maintaining the quick, consistent performance I expected.

To say these parts were not tested, well, that is an understatement. During several of the events, as the rounds progressed, the noise curfew posed a problem and thus, prevented any sort of “cool down” between rounds and resulted in “hot lapping” the bike during the most crucial rounds of each race. As the month played out, my Brock’s Performance Hayabusa continued to exceed expectations, netting the following results:
Pacific Raceways Dragbike Club:
July 11th – Winner
July 13th – Quarterfinals
July 20th – Rain Out
July 25th – Winner
NHRA Summit ET Series:
July 14th AM – Runner-Up
July 14th PM – Semifinals
July 21st – Quarterfinals
July 28th – Final Round (event called due to noise curfew)
After a week off to allow the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing series to conclude the Western Swing at Pacific Raceways, I will get back to racing and look forward to the NHRA Division 6 Summit ET Finals over Labor Day weekend.
Upcoming races:
- Pacific Raceways Dragbike Club:
August 10th, 22nd & 24th
- NHRA Summit ET Series:
