Hi,

I have a 78 Z1R TC and just switched from a Kiehin carb to a Mikuni Hsr 42. The Kiehin carb used just one cable with the end cut and feed thru. The Mikuni uses 2 cables with the drum end (not sure what you call them). Is there a place to order cable that are made to fit or do I need to figure a way to make some

Thanks for any help

I used a set of 10 inch longer kz cables and a stock throttle assy. Bought them off ebay from rice paddy.

They're actually tefloned lined orsomething similarand no matter how tight a twist or small radius circle you place in them, there is no binding at all.</LABEL>

Thanks for the replies, I would rather keep the stock throttle assembly. Anybody know where I might get the extended kz cables I checked on ebay but nothing there.

Thanks Again

I bought a cable to connect m OEM '83 GS1100 throttle to a Mikni HSR42 from Mr Turbo. Although they are often ridiculed for being pricey, it bolted on like the original and worked as it should. Well worth the price to me. Have fun.

Im a firm believer in keeping costs down ,,but in the past I've bought 3 or 4 parts till I got the one that really worked ,, I finally learned it often costs more to "go cheap"

I think I found the place Rick was talking about. Its www.ricepaddy.com (http://www.ricepaddy.com). Has chopper style cables that are suppose to be for 10" risers which should do the trick. I really appreciate the help.

I called terry cable, they were polite but not very helpful. I explained to them that I need stock ends but 45" length. They did not know what ends it would have. I was not to happy with thier service. I ended up buy the cables from www.ricepaddy.com (http://www.ricepaddy.com) that are for 10" hisers which should get me close. I will post how they work when I get them in.
