I have switched to a new motor and tire combination on my Turbo/NOS Funnybike and it has developed some serious wheel hop off the line and out to about 100ft. My previous tire was a MT10.5-28/15C and now i am running a MT11.5-28/15C. with 5.5lbs pressure. The Bike and rider weighs 730lbs.Does anyone have experience or suggestions to deal with this. Clutch setup Air pressure Should I be using the standard MT instead of the C Tire
Thanks

zero experience but i know that more traction needs more power or less clutch
obvious stuff is all right - wheelie bar ht, tire pressure gauge is accurate
did you try lowering tire pressure or giving it more nitrous to get it up on tire
just my thoughts, like i said, no experience withany bikelike that

Yes it is a 3 speed. Mickey Thompson Tire. The 10.5 mickey worked good but I am having a problem with the 11.5. It is a different motor also and a more aggressive set up. I thought with more horsepower the tire shake wouldn't be a issue. I am wondering if the C tire which is rated for light weight compacts isn't the problem
Any Suggestions
Thanks

Don't get me wrong, I am happy with all the information I can get. I would prefer to not have to change the Tire to a Goodyear. If that is my only option then I will. Can you explain why a Mickey doesn't work or why it is a problem. If I had more bikes in my area that are going fast I would look at them and see what theywere running, last year I was one of the fastest and that was with a MT 10.5. And I do appreciatethe info you gave me.
Thanks

Cool-----no I cannot explain why a MT does not work well on a FB--just know that many different tire manufactures and sizes have been tried and the GY 29 tall works best so faron a 3 speed turbo FB with the current clutch technology--to me I would think/guess its the Sidewall size and design of the GY thatallows it to be more FB friendly.
Nothing against MT----lots of happy customers---but not in the FB pits.
