Steve, I hear you are THE GURU when it comes to head work......... I have a bathtub style , dual pug84 GPZ head that once sat proudly atop one of Dave Schultz's pro stock bikes. It has developed a very small crack between the 1 & 2 hole - on top between the plugs - NOT into the chamber - Verified by an old pro stock mechanic guy here in Atlanta that used to work on some of Elmers heads. He claims he can relatively easily fix this crack. My question is....how can I make it stronger - preventative maintenance wise. I've seen some of the older MTC heads with bridges welded in......good idea??? or not??? If you get the bridges done, does the heat from welding them in cause any movement in the valve area requiring a valve job ?? What is the best way to strengthen the head?? I'm running NO2 on it now and am interested in trying to stay ahead of any breakage if i can! Any help is very much appreciated!!
