I have a friend who had a block in a machine shop for TWO months. He had sleeves inserted. He brought a buddy to help him carry the cylinder plus a couple other items and guess what The buddy dropped the cylinder about 4 feet onto concrete. One of the very pretty new sleeves popped up. My friend got a block of wood and a BFH and tried to reinstall the sleeve and was "fairly sucessful" (kind of like a fairly sucsessful brain surgery bwhahaha). Anyway, he tells me it is still sticking up about 1/64" and wants me to tell him to ignore it an run the thing. I cautioned him it didn't seem like a great idea. Now another friend has told him to hit the cylinder with heat and do some banging with a wood block and BFH. I don't know how they get the sleeves in so can't comment on this technique. He doesn't want to give the cylinder back to the machine shop because they diddled him for over two months in the first place. What should he do Can he heat and beat Is there a smarter way to get the sleeve back where it should go
