Go to any automotive store and buy a helicoil kit for your threads , easy to install.....

Better yet, use a Time-Sert. Better than a helicoil.

work great .I even have one in a sparkplug hole. after installed, if used outside of engine oil use antiseze on bolt or sparkplug threads, as they are steel not aluminum

Time-serts are good. If you can't find them ask for key-serts or E-Z Loks. You'll probably have to go to a fastener or bearing company.

Who do you guys recommend for building strong cranks. I see where Gary is now building cranks. I know of GRC, HMP and Falicon. Do they charge about the same for a strong weld and pin job Thinking about a big Nos Kaw motor or maybe turbo.
