Hey guy's, i checked the water level on the battery and it was real low, filled the battery back up with distilled water and put the battery back on the charger and the battery took a good charge according to the battery charger, i also started the bike and pulled the positive cable from the bike while bike was runnin and after that the bike still was runnin i also clean the battery cables, i also rev the bike up to around 5 or 6 rpm and i couldn't see any changes in the headlights but of course it was day light, don't know what else i can check guy's so i need you'll help on this one, THANKS !!!!!!!!!!!!

What amperage charger are you using

Also a quick test for your charging system is to put a volt meter across the pos. and neg. terminals of the batteryand take a reading. Should be between 12.5 and 14 volts. Now start the bike and take another reading. Should not go below 12 volts. Now rev the motor and see if the meter voltage goes up. If it doesn't rise with the engine rpm then the bike is not charging.

Do not disconect the battery while the engine is running, you will send a voltage spike back thru the system and will short something out.. Check the battery voltage while engine is running off idle say 2,500 or better, should be higher than 13v.

Load test the battery before you go and buy another one!
