Hi Al

I'm meeting with them tomorrow morning to sort things out.

But we will be having the normal classes, I am trying to keep things similar to GBM for consistency.

Street Bike Class - street legal/no slicks/no bars/extended arms OK

Race Bike/Sled - full dragbike class/NO DELAY BOXES

    Heads Up Classes - Prostar rules/68" wheelbase/DOT tires/2" clearance/no bars/.400 pro tree/street legal

We are looking at apossible Quick 16 type class but not sure yet.Want to make sure the race is well run first before trying to get big.

I will posthere when I know more.

Why not come on the 17th also for regular race day and stay for Harley's By The Beach on the 18th It is sad to see declining turn outs to the point that sleds out number the bikes in what was originally a motorcycle class. At the Canadian Mopar Nationals at Grandbend this past weekend there was 7 bikes in attendance with 19 snowmobiles making the bulk of the class. Not a very good showing at a track where the management went to bat to have an ET Motorcycle Class included at an IHRA National Event. It is all well and fine to plan 3 months in advance for the Summer Sizzler and for Craig's Race at TMP but if the weekly programs are not supported evantually they will be gone. Do you think the Summer Sizzler and the like will continue if the weekly programs falter Case in point, in past years Mopar Day at Grandbend Motorplex was just that, it's own day. On this years' schedule it is on a Saturday, in conjunction with a regular points day. Let's hope this is not a sign of what is to come. I hope everyone will support the weekly programs at they're local tracks as well as the special events, this way we might have a place to continue to race.

There was an E.T. classI never heard anything about it.

I'd love to go Sat.but I'm one of those people forced to work every Sat.so running the Thunder series or anything else on that day of the week is impossible for me.I don't know what happened to everybody else,I know there used to be 20 or so bikes in the points at GB.

I also was under the impression that it was Mopar Day only as I know Drag Bike Dan wanted to get some seat time in and was ready to run it.

We are going on the Friday of the Harley Day weekend and camping if that's what you call it. I haven't checked with Dan C. But I think I am still invited!

You never know what might show up at Grand Bend on the weekend of Fathers day, maybe the biggest Joe Rocket suited beginner you have ever seen! Ha!

My reference to Mopar Day was not meant to imply that bikes were run on that day, only that through declining participation it is no longer it's own event. The Mopar Day on the 2006 schedule is on a Saturday along with the Thunders Series race.

As to not hearing about the class at the National event, I personally posted it on Dragbike.com when it was announced in January.

Ah crap I was really looking forward to seeing you guys this weekend.

So that means we have to take on the Harley's all by ourselves.
