Okay, i've got a 1 2 3 Auto, slider, Dyna 4000,bars, shift minder etc I also have a Dyna shift counter.....everyone i talk to around here don't use an autoshift, they'd rather shift with a shiftlight & button etc. Wouldn't be more consistant if you'd make a bracket dragbike a autoshift or am i missing something
Also, why don't the NHRA Prostock bikes run an autoshift And they leave w/ a clutch lever too right so are they using sliders or lock-ups
Thanks
I HOPE NONE OF YOU GUYS EVER USE AN AUTOSHIFTER!
care to explain what's the reason
I was being mean, there are no drawbacks to a properly setup autoshift.Did you ever see a bracket CAR with a manual transmission win anything
autoshifters can make your bike more consistant. Rules limit the electronics on NHRA bikes. They also use lock-up clutches. Try concentrating on your 1-2 shift point to gain the most consistancy. Can't wait to race ya'.

I was running a simple autoshift setup on my S/C, just triggered by the shiftlight pulse. It worked beautifully when there was TRACTION. Otherwise the climb in rpm from spin will prematurely shift the bike. I have heard of timers being used to prevent this, something I'm going to look at.

I have never seen a manual trans car win a super pro race in my life, but then i am only 43.If traction is an issue try shifting on a timer,it cured mine

I've heard of Super class cars doing this for some time. My question is...how do you do that
