i have vm33mm mikuni smoothbores on my 76 kz.the intake boots do not have spigots to sync the carbs.how do i sync them are there other boots out there somewerei have a date with the dyno and would like to get everything working together.
The carbs themselves have vac. ports on them.....Check it out.....
set them with a wire gauge..Best way ...
JD
I dont see any vac portsAre u sure
JD.i did the wire gauge .so am im good to go
Mark, the dyno won't care if your carbs are a little out of sync. The dyno readings should be at wide open throttle. Look through the bores of the carbs with the throttle wide open and make sure none of the throttle valves are showing.(not while the motor is running!!!) Wire gauge method works well if done carefully. Dar
Thanks teamdar.
There are no vacuum fittings on the VM33 except for the #2 carb which has a fitting for a vacuum actuated petcock. Bench sync; use a 1mm or less wire gauge.
wired,
nice to see you everywhere... Z1owners member. got a set of 34's coming your way as well.
question : I have the K&N filters for my mik 34's but had to cut into a set of side covers for my 74 Z1A.. will your emgo pod filters allow me to use the stock side covers with out any interference
Thanks Rich Barry
