GUY'S I HAVE A 1986 YAMAHA XT600 THAT STARTS AND RUNS OK TILL I GET TO ABOUT 3500 AND THEN IT IS LIKE I HAVE JUST SHUT THE IGNITION OFF, THEN AS I AM PUTTERING TO A STOP SHE MIGHT LIGHT UP AGAIN BUT MOSTLY NOT. RECENTLY I TOOK THE CARB APART BECAUSE THE BIKE WOULD NOT RAP OUT ALL THE WAY, I CLEANED EVERYTHING UP INCLUDING THE NEEDLE THAT HAD SOME CRUD ON IT. I USED SOME VERY FINE STEEL WOOL ON IT, WOULD THIS HAVE CAUSED THE CONDITION THAT I AM NOW EXPERIENCING. I DON'T BELIEVE I HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. I AM LOOKING FOR ANY AND ALL THOUGHTS ON THIS, AS CARB PARTS FOR THIS BIKE ARE EXPENSIVE AND RARE. CURT P.S. MOTOR HAS COMPRESSION AND ALL THE USUAL CHECKS OUT. ANY THOUGHTS ON THE CDI UNIT NEW PLUG PUT IN ALSO.
