    Can someone tell me the stock OD on a J-Head valve guide, it measures .473 now. I've got a loose one that needs to go oversize and I need to know what to order. What is the recommened guide to hole press fit spec

    stock is 12 mm


    wonder how they go oversize in metric


    i mean in what increments
    12.05 would be 002 over

    ... If you knurl the o.d. and only do this to pick up a couple of thou, with a light knurl. Iwould use green, sleeve retainer, Locktite. Don't worry too much about the next guy. Hey, it might even be you.

    Just remember that if you knurl the OD, it will require a one off guide the next time because the knurl going in AND coming out will wreck the guide bore in the head. But I'm sure you already thought of that. Ray.

    they list in +.001 +.002 and so on. I just don't know what a stock one is.
