I understand that you aren't to promote a product for sale if you don't pay dragbike for that service. I posted on the ADRL forum a few weeks ago that the fire protection system was a mandated item for the last race of the great series in Dallas ,Tx. I was not trying to sell anything. A guy called and told me that the whole post was removed. That's wrong. I actually called a friend of mine that has a lot to do with AMA Dragbike and he agreed that it should have not been removed. I guess that's why I don't post or visit the site much anymore.Walt Timblin
Walt,
We've had this conversation many times haven't we? You have my number, why would you call someone else? This site is Dragbike.com, not AMADragbike.
I guess it's easy forget that there are more more motorcycle drag racers in this world than those that race in ADRL. As you told me in one of our conversations, that's where you've staked your business, and that's fine.
It's those that advertise that keep this web site alive and for that I and others should thank them. The satire is that you must feel this is a good enough forum to get your message to the people (customers) you are looking to address, yet you don't feel it is worthy enough to advertise on. When it's convenient for you, it's good enough.
Rules are enforced for an equal opportunity for all participants. It's not fair to other companies who are in a similar business who advertise to allow those who do not back door the system.
Rules are rules, but, I've read each and every post Mr. Hahn has made, he not one time tried to promote his business in any way. Just to have him spend a portion of his day to give helpfull insight, for free, on several topic's was great. Rules are rules, but to remotely suggest he promoted his business is untrue. His logo it appears to be the issue, anyone that has any knowledge of motorcycles has heard of he and his father, there name, HAHN, says it all, with or without a logo.
I would also like to add that if you notice there IS an ADRL forum here even though we don't HAVE to. It's there for all racers just like the other series forums.
If you were a competing turbo company who advertised, you might have a different opinion.Originally Posted by 2bking1320
You do when it's convenient and the best way to get your message across though! Originally Posted by Walt
Just because the name Hahn registers in somone's mind and somone else's might not as quickly, is that a problem for them. That is nit picky, sure don't see them on here giving free advice or help, might try it. This is your site and these are your rules, so that I'm sure everyone understands.
Ron,
This isn't specific to Bill at all. There are others that have businesses that advertise and offer free advice on the forum. Take Jay Eshbach @ APE for example.
Hey Scott , again I want to thank you for getting the bikes over at the ADRL. And for talking me into getting involved in it as a sponsor. For that matter there are a lot of companies out in the dragbike world that owe you a big thanks. So from Timblin Chassis Thank You very much.Oh crap I shouldn't have put my company name on the post. Sorry. Walt Timblin
