The Utah race should be big. The Utahracershave expressed interest, the SoCaland Nevada racers, maybe even more AHDRA racers. I'm looking forward to it!
MDRA will be the firsat all bike organization to hold an event there as a 1/4 mile track. Should also get some great press.

expressed interest in traveling to california and arizona or just in having a race in utah? i was hoping for a full season but theres no way i can justify two thousand dollar trips to arizona and another one to utah for a chance to win 150 bucks and maybe only race with three locals (last arizona race)mdra must have really really pissed off fontana to get no dates. good luck but i cant see this working out for the brandy and randy show, remember when nmra started pissing off track officials? remember how it worked out for all of us?

We all know $$ are tight. The Utah racers want to go to the new track, but you are right, most wont travel farther, although a couple did come to Fontana last year. Just like many of us cant travel to far too often like you said. It's just not financially possible. Why do you thing I actually sold by race bike last year? I can't afford to travel, the entry feesor to even fix it should it break. So, I got it to a guy who can at least use it.
I was racing in the NMRA days (10 years) and do remember Bill and DeeDee having issues with track officials. I don't know how the schedules are set by MDRA but I do not know of any problems MDRA has had with any track. It may just be scheduling issues. I am aware that Brandi was trying very hard to get a date at a track I cannot name (I said I would not) and she was hesitant to take any other date until she could finalize arrangements with the track in question. That deal fell through (they wanted 20K) but then the other track, maybe Fontana, was booked. I don't envy the job of track scheduling and organizing a race event as she has to do. Not an easy gig.
