Nice one guys, some good reactions there, it looks even madder in the flesh, you kind of climb into it.
Dash & air shifter all sorted, just finnishing off the nitrous plumbing- a total pig to do, then we will wait for a dry day & let her rip a little outside my shop. Need to get guards & bodywork done next, then try out at speed somewhere to make sure she goes straightish & if all is well strip down, paint & beautification of all the half machined/unfinnished bits, but she runs way better than I thought considering I made it up as I went along lol !!!
I will get some video footage when we run her soon & post up- its an assault on the senses for sure & the smell -Castrol R or M actually at 25:1- heaven !!!!!
    cheers guys.

    Hi
    Well done on the build.
Who or how did you design your pipes?
How did you come up with the intake manifolds?

    Hi Richard,
I designed & built the pipes, hopefully they should work with the port timings I've done & have a good spread of power.
The inlets are that way because they have to be something like that to get carbs clear of front wheel/steering. Not really what I wanted but the only pipe bends I had were those. I will probably run them this year & see how its goes, then if it shows some promise junk them & run throttle body injection & mappable ignition, but thats a long way off as yet, need to get out there & run some times.
I've been tuning various two strokes for a long time so the designing bit is part experience, part scientific & part guess work, the whole project is a bit experimental to say the least, but initial signs are promising, seems to have heaps of torue still low down & picks up way quicker & revs higher than it ever did as a boat engine.
Just finnished machining Nitrous bottle brackets tonight so the NOS is now plumbed & wired, got a Shinko 7" slick on the way to try as well as the hook up, just need a nice warm dry day !!
    thanks for your interest,
    regards,
    John.

Somehow I missed this thread on the forum.
Sounds very interesting, and as Pat Neal said sometime back, something we embrace in the UK, where variety was always welcomed.
I may have missed some of the buildup, but plan to be trackside to see this one run.
And yes, for once I think I will be wearing earplugs!.
