kz1100 head to kz1000

will the kz1100 head fit on the kz1000-1978 era. , is this a better head than the [J] head.

84 and later J heads and the 83/84 GPZ heads are identical, with only 2 exceptions. Valve size and combustion chamber shape (not cc displacement) that is it.</span><div>

I thought he was refering to the '93 Zepher head with 2-plugs per cylinder. It's still a 2-valve head with the cam chain in the center. Will that head work on the older KZ engines????

Bore centers are the same on the ZR1100-A Zephyr and ZG1200 Voyager motors as the KZ motors, however toaccommodatethe larger bore the center studs were moved away from the bore centers between 2 and 3, I'm not positive if 1 and 4 were moved or not, (you could make one of these motors big if you wanted). That cylinder head with large valves and short ports and dual plugs would be a great head to use, taken even a but further a 4 valve head from the Voyager may be even better yet, only draw back there is the hydraulic lash adjusters, but a direct bolt on? no.</span><div style="text-align: left; : rgb43, 43, 43; ">
