stock BUSA motor. my timing is set at 38. i have ran 110 octane and went 9.20's, switched to 87 and ran 8.90's. im only worried about engine damage? Can i run 87 with the timing set at 38?
87 is fine on a drag bike. Still runs ok with 13-1. You may pick up some mph with just a little less timing
I want some of that gas ! There has to be more to this story !
87 octane burns and has more potential energy than the higher octane fuel that resists detonation by not burning.
Does it burn to fast or why do you have to use C 16 or equelivent in a turboed motor ? Or do I just think this ?
the high octane ratings are used to deter detonation
Just look at the crazy #s you can get with the ox. fuels. You will see most of the bigest gains come from the lowest octane #s, as long as it dont detonate.
Octane level in U4 is in the mid 80's
So...In a Stage II Velocity kit with water injection / JE Turbo pistons / good head and 22lbs of boost in your opinion what is the fuel you'd use ??????? HayabusaEdited by: 2bking1320
