    Hi,
I have an old Suzuki Gsxr750 (1985)which I use for Sprinting (Dragracing).
I have fitted a Dyna Shift DSMS4 and am not able to get it to work.
The unit has independent power and is attached to both coils negative connection using the supplied Y wires.
I also have a Pingle air shift fitted which works fine.
I am a bit of a dummy when it comes to electronics.
    Can anybody help?

    Hi,
The light flashes once when I turn the power on.

    Should work then.
<DIV>The supplied Y wire has the diode in it?</DIV>
<DIV>Hooked to coils on ignition side?</DIV>

Hi I have checked the resistance in the y wire and it is ok.
I connected it to the negative terminals on the coils as per the installation notes.
If I connected the y wire to the other terminals and tried it would I damage the shift minder ?
    Thanks for your help.

Probably won't hurt it but it won't make it work either. The DSM needs to be connected to the negative side of the coils. What was the resistance reading on the Y adapter? What ignition are you using? Stock? Dyna? ??

    Hi thanks for the reply.
I will check the resistance as soon as I can.
I think the ignition is standard suzuki.

Hi, Sorry it has taken so long to answer your question.
I believe that I have a stock ignition system and coils the resistances on the y piece are 1 leg 5 ohms the other leg 3.15 ohms
