hey there i have a92 gsxr1100 end i was thinking if i can put a gsxr1000 forks with triple three or a busa fork with three witch one can i use end im gonna use it for strip only end can i puta a busa swingarm on it or a 1000 one if so do i have todo some modification??
You can fit a complete later K series front end into a GSXR headstock with a simple bearing swap for the top bearing. The later K series swingarms will fit into the frame with a litle work, I've just built an old GSXR750 1986 with a 1000K2 swingarm, and 1000K5 wheels and front end. I've also fitted 1000K4 running gear onto an 1100M. The K series stuff fits into most stuff easily, I've fitted it into an old Z1000, and also a 98 fireblade, and an EXUP. I love the K series stuff it fits easily, and is real mix and match.
hey thnx thats good ideaany more thing for me let me know !!
GSXR1000K3 to K6, 600/750K4/5 are all 50mm top and 54mm lower clamp, and are all radial calipers. The early K series wheels 1000K1/4 600K1/5 750Y/K5 and SV1000 are all the same front wheel, the 1000 uses a 6 inch rear, and the 600/750/SV1000 all use an identical 5.5 inch rear.<div>With radial calipers you can run discs from 300mm 1000K3/4 600/750K4/5, 310mm SV1000, and 320mm Busa,TL,SRAD,GSX14,1000K1/2,600K1/3,750Y/K3 you simply use a longer caliper bolt and a spacer under the caliper to suit the disc.</div><div>Rear discs will take either 220mm or 240mm discs. The rear bearings can be swapped to drop to a 20mm spindle.</div><div>The later K series stuff changed front discs to 310mm these are not interchangable with the early wheels. The rear wheel hub is about 20mm narrower than the early K series wheel.</div><div></div><div>The K series stuff is really easy to use, although to fit the rear wheels into a Slingshot arm requires a little surgery to the paddles on the sprocket carrier to sit the chain in tighter to the wheel, removal of the lip for the outer dust seal on the sprocket carrier and the use of a sealed bearing, and a little removing from the outer face of the caliper hanger to get the wheel centralised.</div>
ooww oke that's nice, im thinking that im gonna uze the same front wheel of the front end that im gonna put on, end im gonna change the triple treez put the one's of the fork that im gonna put thnx man really presiate that !! eny more recomendation let me.
<DIV>the swingarm im thinking to put a gsxr1000 one with the 1000 rear wheel on it, but im thinking that i have to do some modification on the rear shock so will see furder how it will go end i will let you know !! </DIV>

I've fitted a 5.5 inch 750K5 rear into the 92 swingarm, it required 5mm removing from the outside face of the caliper hanger. I removed material from the paddles of the sprocket carrier down to the start of the stud, and shortened the internal spacer to allow the sprocket carrier to sit in further, then I turned off the lip for the dust seal and used a sealed bearing. I used the 92 240mm disc which bolts straight onto the K series wheel. A simple bearing swap dropped to a 20mm spindle I think a 6304 bearing from memory, the sprocket carrier bearings are the same on both wheels so I used the 92 inner sleeve and shortened that to suit. To run the 6inch rear wheel will need more surgery to the sprocket carrier as the 6 inch hub is approx 6mm wider than the 5.5 inch hub. You may be able to get away with less surgery if you can clearance the frame for the chain run, or possibly run a 520 chain conversion to give more clearance. On my Z1170J motor I used a 16mm offset sprocket on the front, which was a stock Kawasaki item I seem to think from a ZZR1100 or GPX750 ( can't remember which) If you get stuck or need to know what fits with what then give me a shout as I've used K series running gear on several different bikes now.
