    Season Opener at Speedworld

Western Motorcycle Drag Racing Association to invade Speedworld
Fastest motorcycles in the West will be Misbehavin’ in the Desert

The WMDRA is heading to Speedworld on March 24th for a weekend filled with action-packed motorcycle drag racing. Whether you are a novice or pro, racer or spectator, this is the event you don’t want to miss!

The WMDRA Season Opener is presented by Misbehavin Motorsports (http://www.misbehavinmotorsports.com/), located in Phoenix, Arizona. Misbehavin Motorsports is guaranteeing a $4000 total purse for a 16-bike Open Fuel class and will also be running their PRA Volkswagen Drag Racing show on Saturday.

"We're really excited to see the WMDRA bring their motorcycle drag racing tour to our area," says Misbehavin Motorsport’s Owner Jerry Spearn. “This is a great opportunity for us to showcase air-cooled drag racing at its best.”

The weekend festivities will kick off at the Steel Horse Saloon, located at 1818 W. Bell Road #100 in Phoenix (http://steelhorsesaloon.com/) on Thursday, March 22nd at 6:00 p.m., so stop by and say hello. It’s a perfect chance to meet some of the racers and pick your favorites as they battle it out on the track all weekend. The Steel Horse is also sponsoring $250 for Best Reaction Time and $250 for Fastest MPH during qualifying, so stop by and thank them for supporting the WMDRA and the sport of motorcycle drag racing.

The WMDRA is also thrilled to welcome Roddin’ and Racin’ TV (http://roddinandracintv.com/) to the track as they capture footage of our program for their weekly cable television show, airing on Saturday mornings at 9:30 a.m. on Cox Cable channel 7. Check out the WMDRA ad in the March issue of Roddin’ and Racin’ magazine!

The season opener in their three-race series, “Misbehavin in the Desert” is gearing up to be a highlight in the WMDRA race season. "Speedworld is a premiere NHRA Division 7 track and with a supportive motorcycle community and local companies like Misbehavin Motorsports, Roddin’ and Racin’ TV and the Steel Horse Saloon, we have the opportunity to bring the thrill of motorcycle drag racing to a growing fan base," says WMDRA Operations Director Sandra Alberti.

The fun doesn’t stop when the sun goes down as the WMDRA hosts their traditional BBQ on Saturday night, March 24th. Volunteers from multiple CMA chapters in Arizona will be onsite performing bike blessings throughout the weekend and Chapel Services on Sunday, March 25th.

Come see some of the fastest motorcycles in the West take it to the Speedworld track March 24 and 25. All tickets include pit access and spectators get a chance to meet the racers and crews up close. So bring the family and the camera! And for the brave at heart, sign up for our race school on Friday night and run your street bike down the track and race with us on Saturday and Sunday! We have a class for everyone!

Correction: The Steel Horse Saloon is putting up $250 for quickest ET (not reaction time) and top MPH... sorry for the confusion!

Why? Did your turbo pitbike destroy the fuel bikes?
