interested in building a zx14 car tire dragbike

This thought just came to me recently about switching from a kz motor to a new zx14 and was wondering what would all be involved in building a zx14 as far as work to the engine components.The combination I have now is a 600 pound with me on it. And would like to run in the low 8s. I have never torn into a zx motor before but I want to switch over in the next few years.

Does the transmission need undercut?
Should I do a 1-2-3 auto?
Does the crank need anything done to it?
Stroke the crank?
Bigger cams?
Bigger valves?
Anything else?

Can I run a Schnitz pro series 2 box?
I want to run fuel injection should I get a stock ecu or aftermarket and what should I get for aftermarket

Any certain electronics I need to run?

Please fill me with tons of info because if one works out good ill build another one to.

If you want to run mid-6's you will need (other than the basic stuff, clutch and fuel and air management system)

Transmission
Studs
Rods
Valve springs


That should do it.

I'm new to this valve n cams stuff but have to say our ZX14 motor is very interesting. Just installed APE valve springs/retainers and it only took five hours....that is a little more time than I am accustomed to when working on a head but hey, you have to adapt.

Mark at R&D said the 14 trans was the best basic design he had seen out of Japan and it didn't cost much to prep it for 250hp, from memory it was less than $600 for the full monte. Really stout motors but I have to say that Steve left an important component off his list, a really big Turbo.

Reminds me of a Hindu family that use to live on the block with their children, I asked the father one day how they came up with their children's names?
