What's the easiest way to increase power on a Yamaha XJR 1300 engine firstly using only standard parts and adjustments then using after market parts.
Is this the same engine used in the Yamaha Royal Star Venture. It's kinda Yamaha's version of a Goldwing.
No. It's an updated version of the old FJ12/FJ11 motor. Mostly detail changes, and nearly everything interchanges.
A typical engine should gain rather well though, because they're worthless junk from the factory. Look up Legends racers, as they use that engine in their cars.
A 1349cc version should make 165hp or so to the wheel. The 1250cc makes maybe 105-110 or so. If you take it apart and blueprint it well, you can mange 130ish. Otherwise it's just the usual pipe and fueling stuff, be lucky to gain 10%.
