MC-4 Low battery alarm

My MC-4 is claiming low battery voltage when connected to the laptop engine not running. Standing battery voltage is 12.7 ignition on. Does the MSD consider this as low voltage where a battery with a charging system would be over 13 volts with engine running...???

for some reason it will always show that alarm. it will also come up when you have it on the tester. Ray at MSD says just ignore it.
