August 14 Finals @ Jet Cars under the Stars

The Topbike schedule is out and there are some big changes. The schedule is still 10 races long but it will end on August 14 at the "Jet Cars under the Stars" show.

We are also racing at all three major evening shows this year as well as 2 Sundays. The 2 Sundays are the day after a Saturday race so make plans to stay over night!!

We are still an IHRA track for 2004. You will need to get a IHRA competition license if you do not have one already. It is very easy especially if you have a NHRA license. Just apply on-line at http://www.ihra.com/membership/index.html and IHRA will give you a license with NO testing or physical needed if you have a NHRA license. Other wise you will need to do testing (but no physical). You may want to join the points program. It will give you a $5.00 discount on entry per race as well as a shot a some end of year money for the Top finishers. You can join the points program on-line at http://www.newenglanddragway.com/points/ptsapp04.shtml.

There is NO Quick 8 this year but Topbike is racing the same races that Quick 8 was. We encourage the Quick 8 racers to race our series we need your support.

Mufflers are required at New England Dragway on all vehicles BUT it is no big deal.

Dynatech Vortex Insert Cones http://www.dynatechheaders.com comes in sizes 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 4.5 in and will fit in the megaphone if you drill 2 or 3 5/16 holes. It does NOT effect performance. We run these inserts on 7 second bikes with NO2 and it doesn't slow them down a lick and can be easily pulled out.

They are also available from www.summitracing.com

There has been rumours that New England Dragway may become a NHRA facility in the future and get a major national race. NHRA officials were at the track with some of the track board of directors on the last race day of the year to assess the facility.

They were told that if the facility made more improvements that they would probably get the BIG race. This is still probably about 2 years away.

We are still in search for a series sponsor as well as associate sponsors. We are working on the package for the series sponsor plan but we are accepting associate sponsors at this time. It cost $225 a year to be an associate sponsor and it entitles you to trackside shared billboard space as well as the ability to participate in the contingency program. You will also receive space on www.Topbike1.com and on all news postings to www.dragbike.com

See ya at the track!
