WHAT:
Round 1 of 6, the Season Opener for the Texas Shootout Motorcycle
Drag Racing Series kicks off at Houston Raceway Park in Baytown,
TX on March 29th and 30th.
The champions from
2002 will be defending their titles in their respective classes
in 2003:
Jeff Peck - Streetbike Shootout
Tiny Noble in the Schnitz Racing Top Gas class
Mark Brady - Super Comp
Paul Miller - Super Gas
Paul Holman - Pro-ET
Alfred Balboa - Street ET, sponsored by Cycle Stop
Plus in 2003, three
new classes have been added: the popular 60" Sportbike no bar
class, sponsored by Motorcycles Unlimited, Inc., Top Eliminator,
7 second bikes with small tires & wheelie bars and Pro Gas Harley,
brought to you by Theft Control Specialists, Inc., for the Harley
fans.

SATURDAY, March 29th
-- Gates open at 9 AM. Two rounds of qualifying beginning at
11:00am for all classes. For some added fun and a chance for
extra $$$, there will be Gambler's races for Pro ET ($55 entry)
& Street ET ($25 entry) starting at 2:00pm. Stunt bike performances
by Stuntme.com all day.
SUNDAY, March 30th
-- Gates open at 8am. One qualifying round for each class and
then eliminations begin at 11 a.m. (new entries welcome)
FEATURES:
More than 200 riders compete in nine different classes, plus
stunt exhibitions by Stuntme.com. Overnight camping is allowed.

GENERAL INFO:
All competitors in this series must be a Texas Shootout member
and all bikes must have a registered number in clear view of
the race track tower on the right side of their motorcycle.
WEATHER:
According to The Old Farmer's Almanac, this weekend will be
mostly sunny and warm.
