ECS Dyno and Speedworld
Motorplex will play host a new drag race series in Phoenix.
The first race will be an informational gathering. We hope to
bring the road racers who talk smack and anyone interested in
drag racing out to the track and provide some drag racing basics.
We will provide tree instruction, launch technique, the first
60 feet, deciphering a timing slip and suspension settings.
Vendors will have parts and accessories available at very reasonable
prices so that riders can be ready for the first point's event
the following month. Besides payouts, vendors will have specific
grand prizes for winners of each class at the series completion
in September.
The series will use
a sportsman (.500) tree and will be open to streetbikes only.
- 987 & under Import
- 988 & up Import
- Cruiser, Import or domestic
Rules
are: All motor, stock arms, self starting, headlight
and tail light.
The dates are:
- New rider and veteran Test
& Tune informational: April 12, gates @ 9:00am
- Opening event: May 3rd, gates
@ 6:00pm
- Second round: June 21, gates
@ 6:00pm
- Third round: August 2nd, gates
@ 6:00pm
- Final: Second annual Phoenix
Int'l Motorcycle Show and Drags, September 27th. Gates are
from Noon until midnight. This is the Fundraiser for the Foundation
for Burns and Trauma. This event will include a Bike show,
charity ride, bands, Ms. Speedworld contest and more.
