BROCK'S PERFORMANCE PRODUCTS POSTS BONUS AWARDS AT ROCK
Brock's Performance
Products, a Dayton, Ohio-based motorcycle parts manufacturer,
will pay a $100 bonus to the quickest qualifier and another
$100 bonus to the fastest qualifier in the Mickey Thompson Performance
Tires 60-Inch Sport Bike portion of this week's Max V/Spencercycle.com
Spring Bike Open at Rockingham Dragway.
Brock's Performance
Products, operated by former pro motorcycle rider Brock Davidson,
will pay the awards at each of the four races comprising the
2003 M/T Sport Bike Series. Other events in the Rockingham Dragway
series will be contested July 26-27, Sept. 27-28 and Nov. 22-23.
In addition, the Brock's
Performance Products support trailer will be available to racers
at each event.
In addition to the
M/T 60-Inch Sport Bike class, each race also will crown champions
in the Velocity Racing World's Fastest Street Bike class, the
Schnitz Racing Outlaw Pro Street class, the Honda-Suzuki of
Sanford 5.60 Heads-Up Series and the popular new Cycle Concepts
Rock Heavy Series for riders weighing at least 240 pounds.
Davidson made history
at Rockingham during his competitive career by becoming the
first rider of a street legal motorcycle to cover the standard
quarter mile distance in fewer than 8.00 seconds.
Davidson's historic
effort came aboard an independently-campaigned 1997 Suzuki Bandit
motorcycle and it resulted in his induction as the initial member
of the Mickey Thompson 7-Second Club recognizing the first seven
driver to break the 8.00 barrier.
