Shop Drag Racing Team
Doug Fisher, Greg Fisher

Well this weekend
at the St. Louis PR Factory Store Nationals was a major success!
The team doubled at this AMA Prostar race winning two classes,
Top Gas, as well as Super Comp! Doug Fisher the rider in those
two classes was thrilled, because we have done very well at
all of the other races we have been too. So we are very high
in points and with a win in two classes we could be looking
at a #1 spot in Super Comp, and a #2 right behind Shawn Rainy
in Top Gas(if not #1) The team is very anxious to see the
new point standings when they are updated. Doug Fisher Qualified
#1 in two classes which were Top Gas and Pro-ET, so in those
two classes he got a bye run in the first round. There was
no stopping him after that first round win, where he went
all the way to the finals in Super Comp and Top Gas winning
them both! This was the first time the team has ever won two
classes at an AMA Prostar Event.
The other rider
on the team Greg Fisher did also very well, every race he
has gone down to the quarter and semi finals in Super Comp
and Pro-ET, and thats just what he did this weekend, with
that consistancy all's he will need is one win and he will
be right up there at number 1.
The two Fisher Brothers
ran each other once again in Pro-ET for the quarter Finals
and Greg came out on top again, but than they met up again
in Super Comp and Doug was ready taking his brother out and
going on to the Finals. It will definently be a battle for
the top spot in points for the two brother's throughout the
year with both doing exceptionaly well. Both Riders are going
to be on top of there game for the next race which is the
Norris Cycle Fest. in Norwalk, OH where there will be a big
$10,000 to win Friday, and then the main event Sat. and Sun
where they hope to lock some top spots in points. They expect
lots of riders at that race with many coming for the $10,000
and then sticking around for the Prostar event. Stay Tuned
for another Fisher Body Shop Team Report!
We are really going
to be concentrating on taking Shawn Rainy out of the top spot
in Top Gas for the next event and trying to build some space
between us and the #2 man in Super Comp. I am very pleased
on what we did this weekend! I would like to thank all my
sponsors, all my crew, my crew chief which is also my son
Tyler Fisher for making this successfull weekend possible.
Without them it wouldent happen.
