continues to push Hayabusa engine development to new levels
with an exclusive wide-mouth throttle body system.
Through continuous research and development, we began to see
an interesting trend – the power delivered though our stock-valve
head began approach the output of our big-valve head. We took
this as an indication that the large-valve head was starved
for air and not living up to it’s real potential. The answer
was a larger, totally redesigned, throttle body array.
We didn’t cut corners for this project and went to world-renowned
fuel injection specialists, Kinsler Fuel Injection. Working
with our combined expertise we produced what we feel is the
most technologically advanced fuel delivery system currently
attainable for the Hayabusa. Now available exclusively though
Carpenter Race Engines.
These new throttle bodies have a true bore diameter of 50mm–
far larger than the typical bored injectors. With the new fuel
delivery demands we decided the stock components would not hold
up to the stress so we added an aftermarket fuel pump, regulator
and linkage to the package. The system works with stock electronics
as well as the DynoJet Power Commander
This configuration gives an average 15 to 20 rear wheel horsepower
gain with our CNC-ported head large-valve head.
