ZX-12R SPRINGS
 APE
, a leading supplier of high performance valve springs, now
offers a spring for the Kawasaki ZX12.
The APE spring is
made from special chrome silicon material and installs in the
motor at 55 lbs seat pressure. Travel to coil bind is .570”.
This allows the use of cams up to .520 lift.
For comparison, the
oem spring has 35 lbs of seat pressure, and will ‘coil
bind’ at .410” which would limit cam lift to about
.360”. The extreme progressive design of the oem springs
does not allow it to respond to shimming for more pressure.
