Mental Racing Breaks another Top Fuel barrier!!

Last june, a Canada motorcycle dragrace team from Vancouver Island turned the sand drag world upside down when they became the very first motorcycle to break through the four second barrier. They backed up that record shattering 3.96 second run the following weekend, at a different track, and ripped off a 3.95!

Since then, two other motorcycles have followed Marve's "Mental Racing Team" and managed to break into the elusive three-second club. But last sunday, at the Lake Cowichan sand dragstrip, history was made once again...and the bar was raised signifigantly, when Jimmy Girdlestone piloted the big Top Fuel Harley to a
blistering 3.74 second pass! He also put on quite a show for the crowd with several high speed near-vertical wheelies (while beating his opponent) during later runs that same day. He wowed the crowd with his mastery of the big Nitro-powered monster and even the track officials were left speechless as he made run after run with only the rear wheel on the dirt.

Now everyone is asking themselves the same question: How fast can Jimmy and the Mental Racing Top Fuel Harley really go? Can they break through 3.5 seconds? Will it happen at the last dragrace of the year? (October 26th at Lake Cowichan) And what will the speeds be like NEXT year? Can anybody beat these guys?

Stay tuned.
