ROB BUSH'S SUZUKI HAYABUSA
photos courtesy Matt PolitoLike
the rest of the planet... Rob Bush is trying to get a handle on what to do, and how to do
it. Because the bike is so new, aftermarket parts are very limited, so Bush is turning to
his employer, Fish's Custom, to custom develop the parts that he and many others need to
enter the eight second zone aboard the street rocket.
We're going to be keeping a close eye on this bike, and
bringing you further details on it's progress... but thus far, Bush's changes include:
- Schnitz Racing
Front end lowering strip
- Yoshimura exhaust system
- Schnitz/BDE
Clutch Enhancement Kit
- Aftermarket sprockets front (-1 tooth) and rear (+1 tooth)
- MRE Air Shifter
- Fish's Customs weld-in swing arm extensions, 8" over
This
bike currently makes 166.7 horsepower to the rear tire, after remapping the EFI for the
new pipe. When the bike was stock, Bush ran 9.92-seconds aboard it, and after doing the
initial mod's, he dropped that to 9.56-seconds in it's initial shake down runs.
