Pro Street Motorcycles Return With Help From Great Lakes Racecraft

In 2017, we took the gamble to bring in a new category of racers and teams that has yet to be molded into the fold of small tire, drag radial events. When looking into other forms of racing, two wheel motorsports has a huge following a large racer base and there is a class in motorcycle racing that highly resembles many of the radial classes. Pro Street Motorcycle is a street bike class, many high-performance modifications can be made along with certain wheelbase changes due to rider weight.

Wheelie bars are prohibited and the bike must roll in on a DOT legal tire. In many ways, this class is closely tied to a class like Radial vs. The World in the big horsepower on small tire combinations. At the class’s first outing with the OSCR event brand, there were 24 bikes that made a qualifying pass in hopes of taking home the $5,000 winner’s purse. Rodney Williford rolled in meaning business, running a 6.68 second blast in the pre-race test session that was the quickest run of all time in PST competition – on the first day of the event. Williford continued his tough performance with the number one qualifying position and carried it all the winner’s circle.

Gabe Frederick took his turbocharged Hayabusa all the way to the final round, only to be stopped by Williford.
With the help of Great Lakes Racecraft, Speed Promotions is proud to announce that the Pro Street Motorcycle category will be back once again at the Holley EFI Outlaw Street Car Reunion V, now being contested at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky. After the announcement of the move to Bowling Green, it was brought to our attention that the first ever PST event was held at that very track. We look forward to bringing even more history to the Beech Bend Raceway Park in 2018 with a killer show including the Pro Street Motorcycles blasting through the quarter-mile in 6-seconds and most over 200 miles per hour!

Great Lakes Racecraft has signed back on with our program once again in 2018 with a class sponsorship and a number one qualifier bonus for the top qualifying honor after the competitive rounds of qualifying that the OSCR brings in on Friday and Saturday. We still have more sponsorship packages available for the class if you or your business is interested in signing on to support the two-wheel terrors and their great show that only Pro Street can bring to the table.

As of now, we will be paying $5,000 to the winner and paying back eight positions as of now. With more sponsorship, the purse will hopefully grow to one of the best paying Pro Street events all year long! Mark your calendars and make your plans now for the Holley EFI Outlaw Street Car Reunion V on April 18-22, 2018 at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky – all the hitters in Pro Street Motorcycle are, so should you!
