The C&W Cycle sponsored Pro Mod entry of Charlie Farrar seems to have nine lives. After nearly burning down to the ground while testing the day before the start of the Atlanta event, he returned the following day to claim the #8 spot with a 7.03-second run. After taking out Mimmo Marciano in round one, Tommy Miceli ended his charge in round two.

A day later during qualifying for the FBG Nationals, Farrar landed in the #5 spot with a consistent 7.04 second run. He again faced Mimmo in round one, got a bye run in round two, and fell to Bill Vose in the semi-finals.
