Entry points, qualifying
points, elimination points, and record points (if record is
set) are all added up per rider for a total per event. There
are 8 points races, and all 8 races count for points. All riders
must use the same bike number for all 8 races.
Numbers 1-99 are reserved each
year for the riders that have placed in the top 99 positions
for the previous year in that class. If you did not place in
the top 99 for the previous year, then you must use a 3 or 4
digit number.
Do not change your bike number
in the middle of the year! A rider can use different bikes at
each race to score points, but you must use the same number
on each different bike that you ride. This is how we track your
personal points. Points track the rider, not the bike. If a
rider is caught letting another rider use his/her number to
gain additional points, that rider will lose all season points.
Points cannot be transferred between riders.
Points will be posted on dragbike.com,
mirdrag.com, and rockinghamdragway.com promptly after each event.
So stay up to date on them and know your position.
It is the riderÕs responsibility
to calculate his or her own points. In case of a discrepancy,
rider must submit a written letter to the ROCK or MIR office
15 days after points are posted. If written notification is
not received the points will stand as they are.
In the event of a tie in points
at the end of the year, the tie will be broken by 1) rider winning
most races, 2) rider who went the most amount of rounds in a
single race 3) rider entering most races, 4) highest qualifier
at the final points race. In the event of a rainout, track promoters
will dictate pointÕs situation.
