The staff of Dragbike.com has been overwhelmed by the support we have received from the sportsman racers and our program sponsors. “When I started this program I won’t lie, I was overwhelmed with trepidation.” said Dragbike.com owner Brandi Neithamer. “With so many large and small sanctions and thousands of racers, it was daunting to find a fair way to manage this. In 2013  I watched Ben Knight win 22 straight rounds of sportsman competition in one weekend, and that reminded me that this program needed to happen. This program was originally inspired by Mike Konopacki and the racers like him, sportsman racers that raced like Pros.

The racers that have been in the running for BAMF the last two years, travel to several organizations, they act professional, and they ARE the glue that holds our industry together. These are the guys that fill the staging lanes and sit there for hours waiting their turn to race. They get pushed back in the schedule for the pro classes over and over again. They are in the lanes until midnight racing on a Saturday night long after the pro guys have packed up and have gone to their hotels. Sportsman are the first classes to get cut out of the schedule, and they will always get the short end of the stick. While spectators are driven to our events by Pro classes, it’s our sportsman racers that fulfill the needs of the event promoters.”

“So for me, this program is exceedingly important. When I talk to a racer and they tell me that they are going to events only because it qualifies them for BAMF points. I feel like we have done a service to our sponsors and all the sanctions that participate in BAMF. I am grateful and fortunate for the companies that support Dragbike.com,  they allow us to continually serve the motorcycle drag racing industry. So let’s talk about 2016, shall we.”

We are proud to announce the addition of the newly formed Southeast Dragbike Racing Series to the Dragbike.com BAMF series. The SDR Series with serve the southern bike markets with four total events at SGMP and Orlando Speed Word. Wade Rich, President of Operations,  had this to say about the series: “We are looking forward to putting on quality races that cater to the sportsman and give them the kind of events they have been looking for in our region. We will be looking for constant feedback and we will always be prepared to do what it takes to grow this series”

So head out this weekend to South Georgia Motorsports Park for the first event of the year to support this new series and earn the first BAMF points of the year! Stay tuned as we make sponsor announcements for 2016!

2016 Rules and Information

DBC-BAMF points are earned by final round appearances of any events listed within our schedule below.

In the effort to keep the point tracking simple and fair, “BAMF Points” will be awarded based on a formula that involves the type of event, event size and national recognition.

Competitors of sanctioned events listed below do not need to do anything to sign up for the program, however they will be required to run the Dragbike.com decal on your bike. Dragbike.com Staff will automatically reward points throughout the season to winners and runner-ups at events on the DBC-BAMF schedule.
