2022 Iowa Hog Drags and Nostalgia Reunion
The 2022 Iowa Hog Drags and Nostalgia Reunion, Humboldt, Iowa, are happening July 1 & 2 at, the Humboldt County Dragway, 2141, Penn Ave, come on out Friday and Saturday, join in the family friendly fun! Be sure to bring the following things with you: Sunscreen, ear plugs, a camera and an attitude for FUN!
There will be a test & tune, followed by two rounds of qualifying starting on Friday from 1 to 6PM. All makes and models of motorcycles are welcome. There will be a variety of Top Fuel, Nostalgia Fuel, and Pro Fuel motorcycles at this event, including vintage fuel bikes, which are limited to a 4” wide rear tire, just like back in the 1960’s when it all began in earnest. There are vintage Gas classes for all you folks who built race bikes back when you were a Hippie.
Keep your eyes open for the ET class and of course the ever popular “Run what you Brung,” class where anything and everything can compete if it meets Tech Inspection standards.
Admission is only $20 a day or buy a two-day pass for $30 and save the ten bucks for the concession stands. The final round of qualifying on Saturday will begin at 10AM with eliminations beginning at 2PM. Be sure your camera is ready!
Some very special guests will be in attendance with historic machines! This year’s legends honorees, Pete & Jackie Hill will be on the premises both days and they are bringing one of Pete’s legendary Top Fuel blown and injected Top Fuel Knuckelhead drag bikes that Pete built, frame up with his own two hands.
There will also be special guests and drag racing long time luminaries like: John Gregory, one half of the famous Hog Slayer team, Glen Kerr, Randy Torgeson, Leo Hess, Crazy John Markwald, Doc Hopkins & Kersten Helling, Tator Gilmore, Lee Wickstrom, Rick Erdman, James Morin, Alan Peterson, JoJo Matthews, and many more!
