A Busy Time for Team Brothers Ahead of a Resumption of FIM-E Activity

words and photos by Ivan Sansom and Rose Hughes

After a stunning opener to the 2026 FIM-E Super Street Bike season back at the end of May, the Hungaro-Dutch Team Brothers team of Dániel Donát Lencsés and Margot Schmidt have been far from idle in the intervening months and move on to Sweden in a rejuvenated fashion. Margot gave us the heads-up before the team made their separate ways from Hungary and the Netherlands to Sweden for the Summit Racing Equipment Internationals just north of Stockholm.

“We’re getting ready for the next two rounds in the FIM-E championship at Tierp [Sweden] and Hockenheim [Germany]. After the results from the Main Event in May at Santa Pod, we are very eager to get back at it in the European Championship. Daniel managed to run a 6.54 on the quarter mile, which is a world record on a 68” wheel-based Super Street Bike, and won the event.

Personally, I’m happy to be back to solid 6-sec runs, which have helped bring my confidence back big time. I’m very much looking forward to seeing what can be done in Tierp and Hockenheim.

We want to thank our sponsors for their continuing support:

Meanwhile, Daniel has embarked on a new adventure besides participating in the FIM-E Championship series in Europe. He has teamed up with DME Racing in the USA to pursue his dream of racing in the XDA series. At the recent WPGC Bike Fest in Maryland, he had his first race, and it went very well: he ran a 6.40 PB on his Pro Street Bike and finished 7th in the rankings that weekend. We wish him all the luck for the future in XDA!”

Tierp Arena can be a very quick track when conditions are right, and with a strong FIM-E Super Street Bike entry on hand, it could push Daniel and Margot into further personal best territory (and for the former, improving his own FIM-E record marks). As always, the class will no doubt deliver some of the sharpest racing in Sweden and the rest of the championship rounds that dominate the calendar for the next month or so.
