Nitromethane fueled excitement is thundering into Bristol Dragway on August 20th, 2021 for the inaugural AMRA racing sanctioned Thunder Valley Nitro Nationals & Rally. Some of the most powerful Top Fuel motorcycles on God’s green earth will bring the thunder, to Thunder Valley. Racing action begins on Friday, with gates open at 8am, followed by an all classes test & tune from 3 to 8PM.

Bristol Dragway will welcome for the first time the powerful American V-Twin Motorcycles of the American Motorcycle Racing Association with an assortment of featured classes, including Top Fuel, Nitro Funny Bike, Pro Fuel, Pro Gas, Pro Mod, Modified, Outlaw Street and more. This will be contest number four of the six event AMRA 2021 season.

Current Point Standings

Coming into this race the national points chase looks like this: In Top Fuel, Ryan Peery leads the pack with 535 points. In second place is the Rage’n Cajun: Mr. Coon-Ass, Randal Andras 410, Texan Rickey House 325, NHRA multi time champion Tii Tharpe 195, and the big dog, Mr. Jay Turner with 135 points.

In Nitro Funny Bike (NFB), Chris Smith sits on top of the pack with 615 championship points. Tadishi Sato of Japan holds 315, followed by James Hoffman with 135 and Jordan Peterson holds 115 points in fifth place.

The third and final Nitromethane fueled class of Pro Fuel is led by the talented Jim Martin with 510 points and Jim is really flying this year! Right on him is veteran Bad Man “The Rockstone” Rocky Jackson, with 400, followed by Brian Greenwalt 370, and the lovely Kersten Heling with 145 points accrued, coming into this race.

The Details

Admission is $25/day $50/Weekend (Sat/Sun). Gates first open on Thursday 8/19, with racer pit access from – 12:00pm – 9:00pm. Please note racers entering on Thursday are required to obtain weekend wristband at gate first thing Friday morning.

AMRA Motorcycle Drag Racing

Friday, gate opens – 8:00am, with open motorcycle test and tune from 3:00 – to 8:00pm, cost $40.

Racing action gets underway for real on Saturday with gates open at 8:00am.
qualifying begins at 12 noon, and will progress round-Robin, until completion.

On Sunday, gates open at 9:00am, if time allows there will be a brief test and tune in the morning, followed by class eliminations commencing at 12:00pm sharp, all classes.

A limited number of camping and RV spots are available. The RV spots with full hookups are $100, to book a spot or for further information please call 1-866-415-4158 or visit CampingatBristol.com. Bristol Dragway has excellent shower facilities onsite. Racers can purchase Sunoco 110, 112 and Methanol Fuel right at the track.
