Grand Finals Confirmed
The Australian National Drag Racing Association is pleased to confirm that the upcoming Twilight Nationals event at Mildura’s Sunset Strip will double as the Grand Final for the extended 2019/2020/2021 Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series.
The event will be hosted by the Sunraysia Drag Racing Association across Friday 12 March and Saturday 13 March, with the night racing format to add to what is sure to be an exciting end to a season which has been heavily impacted by COVID-19.
“We are excited to be able to confirm that our ANDRA Grand Finals in 2021 will feature exciting racing under lights at Mildura’s Sunset Strip as part of the popular Twilight Nationals event,” ANDRA Chief Executive Officer, Brett Stevens, said.
“We look forward to officially awarding our champions with the record-breaking end-of-season prize pool which has been made possible by our valued sponsor, Summit Racing Equipment.
“This has been a long and hard season for everyone, and we are greatly appreciative of the patience and support that our members and sponsors have showed us throughout the past 12 months as we have navigated ever-changing restrictions to try and conclude our current season in the best possible way.
“We certainly would have liked to confirm our plans for the Grand Final sooner than today, and we do apologise sincerely to anyone inconvenienced by the timing of this announcement which has been delayed a number of times due to the changing nature of the environment we are all operating in and over which we have little control.
“We look forward to seeing an exciting conclusion to the Series at the Sunset Strip.”
