Maltese FIM-E Top Fuel Bike competitor Glenn Borg will miss the forthcoming Summit Racing Equipment Internationals at Tierp Arena, Sweden, due to family matters taking precedence. It might not matter too much in the championship chase as Borg comes off a fairly successful Main Event at a very hot Santa Pod at the end of May.

“We did our best with the new setup, but the heat wave did not help us as we tried to find traction. The Santa Pod track crew did their best, and we would like to thank them for their amazing efforts. We were happy we made it into the semi-final, but these weren’t our best runs, and we managed to run mid-6s again.
We’re currently 3rd in the championship so it is a strong result. Hopefully, the new setup works and we’re looking forward to rejoining the tour in Germany at the end of August, but it is not going to be the same without Rikard [Gustafsson].

As always, we are grateful for the support from
- Glenn’s Highway Auto
- Glenn’s Auto general repairs
- Visit Malta
- Zoqdi Racing
The remaining rounds of the FIM-E Top Fuel Bike championship will be something of a subdued affair after the untimely demise of multi-time title holder Rikard Gustafsson, but racers will have a number of personal goals to achieve.
Hopefully the record-breaking heat wave impacting across Europe will dissipate soon, and Borg will have two events in Germany and England to validate the offseason changes to his Suzuki GS Funnybike under more conducive conditions with which to deliver PBs.
