Brock Davidson to test the new 2010 BMW S 1000 RR

Believe it or not, the staff of Dragbike.com is bold enough to predict that
you will see BMW motorcycles at the drag strip in 2010, and from what we
understand, they will be fast?!

Apparently someone tipped off the administration of BMW North America that
the new S 1000 RR will be drag raced if it is indeed as fast as the
mainstream publications have stated. BMW must be confident enough to back up
the hype, because they invited Dragbike.com to the press introduction next
month!

When someone say’s “Beemer”, we can’t help ourselves from conjuring images
of plump old guys in full riding suits, but motorcycle drag racing is about
precision, attention to detail, and knowledge. The choice for Dragbike.com
was obvious; we decided to send our most experienced expert, Brock Davidson.
The ‘first street bike in the sevens’ pilot definitely isn’t as svelte as he
used to be, and he’s probably not going to give you all the information that
you will need if you are interested in turning, but he can certainly
determine if the bike is fast, and what will need to be done to allow BMW’s new “Gixxer-beater” to traverse 1320 feet as quickly as possible and pass this information on to Dragbike.com readers.

Stay tuned for more details.
