CMDRA Kicks Off 2019 National Championship Series
Demonstrating the skills that have delivered multiple CMDRA championships, reigning MTMM Performance Pro Modified Champion Matt Mackay-Smith took the win, picking up points that will undoubtedly prove to valuable in the shortened four-race season.
In other Pro Classes, Dave Strekhe played the spoiler role in Welch Motorcycles Pro Dragster, taking out both the reigning Champion Quinn Olson as well as 2017 Champion Evan Barsness on his way to the winners circle. Quality Trophies V Pro saw reigning and multi-time Champion Carl Mills pick up his first win of the 2019 season.
The JPM Mechnical Super Bike final was once again a family affair with 2016 and 2017 champion Riley Toth lining up against his younger brother Zach, with Riley taking the win. Riley and Zach’s father Dave took the win in the Murray’s Minute Muffler Open Index 8.88 class.
Other winners in Kelowna include Garrett Price in Pido Productions Super Gas, Steve Brownlee in Southland Powersports Street, Bruce Romak in Hot Twin and Liz Belanger in XL 883.
